Perspective Unplugged Talk: Understanding 'People Pleasing'

An interactive talk on the psychology of people pleasing. Why do we do it? What does it serve and how can we re-frame associated behaviours?
About this Event

Do you find yourself overgiving, overthinking, or losing touch with your own needs in relationships?
This interactive, in-person, group-based talk invites you to explore what lies beneath people-pleasing - through the lenses of psychology, body work, and deeper awareness.

You’ll be guided through interactive reflections and live examples that illuminate how early patterns of care, belonging, and fear can shape our adult connections and how 'people pleasing' can be rooted in a hardwired need for emotional and physical survival.

Blending insights from my time as counsellor and pyschotherapist with embodied awareness exercises, as well as forms of reflective inquiry, this session offers a space to reconnect with your maybe 'hidden truths', your feelings, the notions of 'boundaries', and your own sense of awareness.
