About this Event

Dance Gym - Move. Release. Strengthen. Connect & Move From Your Physical Body.
Join Dance Gym and experience a smarter, more enjoyable approach to men’s health and fitness through movement and dance. A powerful invitation to reconnect with your body, reset your mind, and move with purpose from your physical body.

Men’s Health • Movement • Strength • Freedom

Dance Gym is a weekly men’s health and fitness class offering a fresh, embodied approach to physical and emotional wellbeing. Designed for men seeking more than a conventional workout, this class blends therapeutic movement, somatic practice, and creative dance to develop strength, mobility, relaxation, and mental health.

This is your time for self-care.

A space to breathe deeply, stretch and tone, bend, flow, and feel — allowing tension to melt away while reconnecting with your natural body rhythm.

Through gentle somatic movement meditation and creative dance, you’ll explore practical ways to:

  • Release stress and stored tension
  • Improve posture, breathing, mobility, and overall fitness
  • Build functional strength and body awareness
  • Support weight loss through enjoyable, rhythmic movement
  • Increase presence, confidence, and ease in your body

Movement is guided by sensation and experience rather than through pressure. You’ll move with the music, in harmony with your own pace, rediscovering the body’s natural bounce, flow, and vitality.

Dance Gym also offers something equally important: connection.
Move in a friendly, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where you can meet new people, expand your social circle, and enjoy moving together without expectation.

The work is underpinned by Somatic practice, a therapeutic bodywork approach that teaches you how to listen to your body, respond to its needs, and cultivate long-term wellbeing. By working from feeling and sensation, you develop deeper awareness, balance, and freedom — both physically and mentally.

Sessions are led by Francis Angol, celebrated movement specialist, choreographer / performer, lecturer in dance and Somatic Movement Educator. Francis brings decades of expertise, warmth, and insight, creating a space that is both professional, friendly and welcoming.

This is not just exercise. It’s an opportunity to deepen your understanding of your body, explore its potential, and enjoy moving to develop your health and wellbeing.
