About this Event

Dalit History Month Book Discussion

Join us this spring for a thoughtful and community-centered gathering as we mark Dalit History Month through literature, dialogue, and collective reflection.

In April, we'll be reading Pr*son Notes from a Woman Activist by B. Anuradha — a series of short, intimate Pr*son writings that capture the everyday realities of incarceration through the eyes of a woman activist.

We'll come together on Sunday, May 24th to discuss the book followed by a watch party.

Event Flow:

  • Part 1 (Outdoors 🧺) – Group discussion at Square Saint-Louis (near Sherbrooke metro)
  • 🎤 Two short presentations by Khoj members on additional Dalit literature
  • 🎥 Part 2 (Indoors) - Screening and conversation on caste exclusion, discrimination, and the realities of Dalit communities today in both South Asia and North America

If the weather isn’t great, the full event will be held indoors.
