Welcome to Cybersecurity-101 for DSLs!

Join us for an online event where you'll learn the basics of cybersecurity specifically tailored for Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs). Our expert speaker, Martin Byrne, Head of Education Technical Solutions for inTEC Group, presents a practical guide for DSLs to help them navigate the world of cybersecurity, particularly the DfE’s Cyber Security Standards and Cyber Essentials – the latter that DfE now requires all colleges and special post-16 institutions to achieve.

Along with developing Intec’s solutions to meet the needs of schools and colleges, Martin has been a Cyber Essentials assessor since 2017 and provides advice, training and support to education institutions. Having dealt with the consequences of several cyber attacks, and leading schools and colleges through the recent changes to the technology requirements in safeguarding guidance, Martin will take us through an informative and fully-packed overview of what safeguarding leaders need to know.
