About this Event
*2 Half-Day Training Sessions*:
Tuesday January 7, 2025: 9:30am to 1:00pm
Wednesday, January 8, 2025: 9:30am to 1:00pm
To enroll in this training you need to have successfully completed CWICE 101 , 102, 103 & 104.
The Child Welfare Immigration Centre of Excellence (CWICE) has developed a knowledge base surrounding the intersection of child welfare practice and unresolved immigration, settlement, and border-related issues. This certificate-training series has been designed for child welfare professionals to bring awareness, build knowledge capacity in practice, and promote equitable outcomes for children, youth, and families.
CWICE 105 focuses on displaced people, privately sponsored and government assisted refugees. This knowledge-based learning will support the growth and continued development of child welfare practice. This one day (or two half day) session(s) will support you to understand the challenges and barriers of displaced people, the role of international organizations and Canada’s resettlement program. Once you have completed this training, you will be able to enroll in CWICE 106.
This is a two-part virtual session.
