The Cutty Sark Easter Egg Trail is a family activity aboard the world's only surviving tea clipper, dry-docked in the heart of Greenwich. Built in 1869, the Cutty Sark was one of the fastest sailing ships of her era, designed for the China tea trade and later the Australian wool trade.During Easter (Good Friday to Easter Monday, 3–6 April 2026), an egg trail runs throughout the ship: hidden eggs each bearing a letter that visitors must find and unscramble to crack a secret nautical code. Complete the trail and claim a free chocolate treat from the café underneath the hull.
Included in standard ship entry: approximately £18 adults, £9 children (under 4s free).
Getting there: Cutty Sark DLR station (on the doorstep) — direct from Bank or Tower Gateway. Combine with a full Greenwich day: Royal Observatory and Planetarium, National Maritime Museum (free), Greenwich Market, Greenwich Park.
Tips: book online in advance to save on entry. The ship is busiest at midday — try arriving when it opens or in the late afternoon.
