About this Event
A zine making session for seasoned zine makers and newbies alike.
Come along and make some zines, get creative alongside other zine lovers in this relaxed and mellow evening and even grab a chance to peruse some items from the Mitchell’s blossoming zine collection.
This themed evening will take a look at the upcoming exhibit curated by Mitchell Library staff, showcasing the avant-garde publishing house, Gaberbocchus Press, and its founders Stefan and Franceszka Themerson.
Known for semantic poetry, illustration and taking a chance on new ideas in art and science, their books were known as "best lookers rather than best sellers". The press published approx 80 titles between 1948 and 1979, refusing to conform to the publishing norms through the decades.
This workshop is suitable for age 16+
