Join us in Canada Water Theatre (ground floor of the library) for a 90-minute literary salon with Yvonne Battle-Felton. We will begin with readings from Curdle Creek (2024), winner of the prestigious Shirley Jackson Award for Novel, followed by a Q&A and a storytelling open mic with stories about home.

The author
Yvonne Battle-Felton is an award-winning author, editor, podcaster, host, creative producer, and is the Academic Director of Creative Writing at Cambridge University. Remembered (2019) was longlisted for the Women's Prize for Fiction and The Not the Booker, and shortlisted Jhalak Prize. Curdle Creek (2024) is her most recent novel and the winner of the Shirley Jackson Award for Novel.
