Join us April 26th at 3PM for a curator tour with Tamara Toledo for the Demytifying Blackness exhibition. She will share her thoughts and the exhibition and give more information on individual works.
This is an in-person event.
ABOUT THE CURATOR
TAMARA TOLEDO PhD is a curator, writer, art historian, and artist based in Toronto. Her research focuses on hemispheric connections, decolonial methodologies, artistic practices of dissent, diasporic histories, collective memory, counter-archives, and knowledge production and dissemination as resistance. Toledo has been published by ARM Journal, C Magazine, Fuse, Canadian Art, and Latin American and Latinx Visual Culture Journal of the University of California and has been the recipient of numerous awards, fellowships, and grants for her curatorial and academic work. She has participated in various conferences and symposiums across Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Toledo is currently the Director/Curator of Sur Gallery.
