About our Trainer

Kamilah Twymon, LPCC-S, MBA, joined the Buckeye Ranch Family in December 2020 and is currently the Vice President of Community Based and Education Services. She is also the founder of Ignite Counseling, Coaching, and Consulting, LLC. Raised in Central Ohio, Kamilah is a passionate advocate for marginalized populations and childhood mental health. Kamilah completed her undergraduate studies at Ohio Dominican University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. She also earned a Master of Science in Education degree with a focus in Community Counseling from the University of Dayton and a Master’s in Business Administration from Otterbein University in 2019. Kamilah began working with children and families in 2007 at Nationwide Children's Hospital and held various roles, including providing direct care, supervisory, and management positions. Kamilah’s area of expertise includes providing and implementing evidence-based practices to treat the mental health needs of children and families. Additionally, she collaborates with school districts, child-serving systems, and community organizations to decrease the gap in access to care for youth and families. During this foundational training, we will explore how marginalization and disparity impacts mental health and quality of life. The training will include the data related to equity, belonging and inclusivity and will include and overview of practical strategies to reinforce equity and advocacy for marginalized populations.
