About this Event
We're organising our first CSW Awareness which will be held face to face, also on Zoom for those who can't attend in person.
We will cover:
What is a Communication Support Worker's role and why are they important?
What is involved in working with a Deaf client?
What are the codes of conduct and company policies, and how to work in line with them?
What opportunities are there working for Deaf companies?
How do you work harmoniously and consistently with a Deaf client?
How to translate from English to BSL simultaneously with face to face / video calling with a mobile when you are with your deaf client.
How to translate from English to BSL or BSL to English simultaneously whilst on a call to a hearing person for a deaf client.
How to work with Deaf clients in various environments such as events, interviews, work meetings, etc.
What does it mean to be an Interpreter and why is their role important?
Where can interpreters use their skills to work?
Some benefits include:

Requirements:
A CSW BSL’s qualifications can range from Level 2 to Level 6.
Many things will be explained in our CSW Awareness Event!
The event will be 2 hours approximately.
You can choose either Zoom or face to face.
