About this Event

Turn mill-end wool into something lasting and beautiful in this beginner-friendly crochet rug workshop. If you have crocheted a time or two, this is a great next project.

Using Pendleton wool mill ends and fabric scraps, you’ll learn how to transform reclaimed materials into a soft, sturdy rug that feels incredible underfoot—and will be appreciated by both 2- and 4-legged members of your household. You’ll be guided through foundational crochet techniques and create your choice of a round, square, or rectangular chair pad or small rug.

This class is designed to give you the skills and confidence to keep going—so if you dream of making a larger rug, you’ll leave fully equipped to continue at home. Rugs are cherished across cultures, often becoming heirloom pieces passed down through generations, and this workshop invites you to create your own functional art rooted in tradition and sustainability.

Bonus: April is the perfect time to start—Pendleton’s fiber arts sale makes it easy to gather beautiful materials at a discount and keep your project growing beyond the class. 🧶

Bonus Material Selection Date!- April 24th 4 pm Meet at the Pendleton Woolen Mill Store at 8500 SE McLoughlin Blvd Portland, Or 97222. Receive guidance and suggestions on quantity and color selection for your future rug. Materials to complete a small rug will be provided during the class. If you are planning on making a larger rug, this is a great opportunity to purchase discounted material.
