Im Evil Dead Universum gab es vor kurzem ja leider nicht so gute Neuigkeiten. Grund genug jetzt den ersten Teil nochmal in der Creepy Crypt zu zeigen. Erlebt 45 Jahre nach dem Release nochmal Bruce Campbell in der Rolle, die seine Filmkarriere begründet und geprägt hat. Fünf junge Menschen gönnen sich ein paar Tage Auszeit in einer Hütte im Wald: Ashley (Bruce Campbell), Cheryl (Ellen Sandweiss), Scott (Hal Delrich), Linda (Betsy Baker) und Shelly (Theresa Tilly). Doch als sie im Keller des Hauses ein Buch sowie ein Tonbandgerät finden, werden sie in einen wahren Albtraum hineingezogen. Denn als sie das Band abspielen, berichtet der vorherige Bewohner der Hütte, dass das Buch Formeln zur Beschwörung von Dämonen enthält... und spricht diese Formeln auch noch laut aus. Es kommt, wie es kommen musste - im Wald werden übernatürliche Gewalten entfesselt, denen die Gruppe schutzlos ausgeliefert ist. Nach und nach dringen Dämonen in die Jugendlichen ein und sorgen so dafür, dass diese sich gegenseitig dezimieren.

Five young people are enjoying a few days off in a cabin in the woods: Ashley (Bruce Campbell), Cheryl (Ellen Sandweiss), Scott (Hal Delrich), Linda (Betsy Baker), and Shelly (Theresa Tilly). But when they find a book and a tape recorder in the basement, they are drawn into a true nightmare. When they play the tape, the cabin's previous occupant reveals that the book contains formulas for summoning demons... and even recites these formulas aloud. As expected, supernatural forces are unleashed in the woods, leaving the group defenseless. One by one, demons invade the teenagers, causing them to decimate each other.</english>
