Creative Engagement Workshop

Preston Moves is a new city-wide partnership working with communities to support and inspire people to move more.

We're at an early stage - talking to community leaders and spaces to understand how their communities work, what barriers exist, and where we can be useful.

We're engaging with communities creatively, using simple and creative techniques that make people feel relaxed, welcome and involved. We want to share these techniques with our Preston community peers. And we'd like to invite your community to meet us.

We're inviting people from VCFSE organisations and community leaders to attend a Creative Engagement Workshop on either 21 or 23 May, focused on supporting people to get active. Our workshop on Saturday 23 May is linked here.

If you attend a training day and then facilitate a community meet-up about movement, you will be paid for both attending the training and facilitating the meet-up. (Note whilst multiple people from an organisation are welcome to attend the training, we limit payments to one person per organisation for training and the delivery.)

Free training places are available for those who would like to attend the workshop but cannot commit to facilitating a meet-up.

· Fun, creative ways to lead meaningful conversations

· How to make people feel welcome and involved

· How to plan and run creative community conversations

· Confidence to engage with a wide variety of groups

Anyone who talks with communities or runs local activities, including:

· Community members

· Clubs and activity leaders

· Volunteers

· VCFSE organisations

· Local connectors

No experience needed.

Everyone gets:
- Creative engagement tools
- Practical confidence
- Ideas you can use straight away
- Support to deliver conversations
- A chance to shape movement and wellbeing in Preston

Please stay for a vegan-friendly lunch at 1pm. Do advise of any other dietary requirements and of any accessibility needs. We want everybody to be welcome.
