About this Event
Taught by knitwear designer Annalisa Dunn, who has over 15 years experience of crocheting show pieces for the London Fashion Week catwalk.
Learn how to elevate your crochet designs using a variety of techniques to incorporate beads, sequins and other hard elements. We will explore scale, texture and material contrast.
The workshop will take place inside The Stitch Archive, giving you access to a variety of luxury crochet samples and garments for inspiration and context.
You will work to produce your own set of samples to keep, using a variety of materials and techniques you may not have used before. This workshop is more focussed on experimentation and new ideas, rather then teaching traditional stitches.
Techniques taught:
How to incorporate beads in a variety of ways
How to create trims, mesh fabrics and circular motifs using beads, sequins and crochet.
How to experiment with other hardware in your crochet.
Materials to bring:
All materials and equipment will be provided, however you are invited to bring any design work / materials / equipment you’d like to experiment with.
Ideal for anyone looking to elevate their existing crochet skills. Different levels of ability will be catered for in this small class.
