About this Event
Isiah “ThoughtPoet” Veney is a photographer, organizer, and writer from the Chatham and Burnside area. While recently being named a black history maker by the Chicago Suntimes and since his highlighted works with Truestar Magazine showcasing Chicago's musical talent he has been on a mission to capture and express powerful opinions and perceptions through imagery and writing. His #HeartMelanin portrait series, in progress since 2013, is a collection of emotions; snapshots of the black Chicago renaissance.
Isiah ThoughtPoet Veney of unsocial aesthetics has been apart of the music scene/industry in chicago since the blog era. His ability to help artists bring the very best out of their music and creative direction via photos, music video direction & etc has helped the scene continue to evolve as we continue to see the new chicago wave unfold.
His workshop will be centered on how to help put together a rollout for a single, EP, or album and all of the different things that come with that.
This workshop will be broken up into two parts and attendees will get a chance to work with Thought Poet to create or improve their album rollout. A light lunch is included.
