Bio:

My experience with CranioSacral therapy is unique. Both my parents are CranioSacral Osteopaths, giving me the rare opportunity to receive hands-on treatment throughout my entire life. This led to a natural reverse engineering of the cranial system through their touch from a very young age. The theories and principles of cranial work became the foundational structure through which I approached life—like a first language. The cranial perspective informs everything I do, from free-form movement to strength training and dance. For me, theory and practice are inseparable, completely interwoven. This integration makes the Cranial Somatics training unique; to teach this system, I had to carefully deconstruct these experiences into their distinct components before reconstructing them into a cohesive whole.

Beyond my cranial background, I am a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), a Certified Neurosculpting® Facilitator (CNSF), and an ongoing student of Osteopathic Manual Therapy through various schools and teachers.

Course Description:

Cranial Somatics:

Cranial Somatics is more than just hands-on training—it's an extension of the cranial system into a fully embodied somatic lifestyle. While the course focuses primarily on therapeutic mechanics and technical applications, the tools you'll learn can be applied broadly to many areas of life.

Integration is our ultimate goal, but first we must understand each tool in isolation before combining larger concepts. We'll start with bodily biomechanics, then gradually weave in foundational elements—like furnishings on completed walls. These include stillness, the nervous system, touch, pressure, tension, verbal cueing, dialogue, meditative coaching, and physical directions.

Rather than long lectures, the course features bite-sized theoretical talks immediately followed by hands-on practice and experiential activities. This format accommodates all learning styles while maintaining engaging momentum. Students receive personalized feedback during practical sessions and integrate lessons through independent exercises.

This training is a shared journey through both broad concepts and precise techniques. We'll explore how the body stores tension in muscles, fascia, and the nervous system. After learning to identify and locate restrictions, we'll practice various methods to release and reintegrate them. These methods include Osteopathic Manual Therapy, CranioSacral Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Neurosculpting®, Myofascial Release, and Muscle Energy—among others.

Don't worry if these terms are unfamiliar—I'll explain everything!

Please respond with any specific inquiries I can answer for you.

Hope to see you there!

Blessings,

Kiefer Avi
