About this Event
This session provides an overview of Light Adjustable Lens (LAL) technology in cataract surgery, focusing on its mechanism of action, postoperative adjustment process, patient selection criteria, and clinical considerations. It explores practical aspects including refractive targeting strategy, PCO characteristics, Nd:YAG timing, capsular contraction, and comparison with monofocal and multifocal IOLs. Real-world clinical experience and patient satisfaction outcomes are discussed to help practitioners understand appropriate case selection, counselling requirements, and postoperative management. This session is suitable for optometrists and dispensing opticians involved in cataract co-management, postoperative care, and patient counselling regarding premium intraocular lens options.
Session will be followed by a discussion workshop presenting 3 clinical cases for refractive/cataract patient selection and management.
