Phoenix Books Burlington is thrilled to host Milagro Amaya Turner for a reading from her new book Counting Huskies! Designed to help children learn to count 1-10, Counting Huskies is an adorable celebration of Milagro’s sled dogs. Join us on Sunday, March 8 from 1-3PM to meet one of the dogs at the reading!
Milagro Amaya Turner is the creator of Siber Sled Dogs and the author of Counting Huskies. Originally from Honduras and now living in Vermont, Milagro discovered a deep connection with Siberian Huskies and the unique culture surrounding sled dogs. Through her interactive and family-friendly program, she introduces audiences to the history, teamwork, and spirit of sled dogs, while children and adults get to meet and interact with her friendly huskies. Milagro’s work blends curiosity, storytelling, and hands-on learning, inviting families to experience the joy and wonder of these remarkable dogs.
