Physio-Led Pilates for Skaters
At Lost Art
We’re launching a physio-led Pilates class designed specifically for skaters, and we’d love for this to become a regular event at Lost Art.
Let’s be honest. Skating is tough on the body. The falls, the repetition, the impact. We know how common injuries are and how important it is to build strength in the right areas to keep you skating long term.
This class will focus on strengthening and protecting:
- Hips
- Knees
- Ankles
- Back
- Shoulders
- Wrists
- Elbows
Whether you’re young and pushing hard or still skating as you get older, maintaining strength, form and function is essential to perform well and stay injury free.
Led by Specialist Physiotherapist Lucy Byott
The class will be run by Lucy Byott, specialist physiotherapist at Functional Movement Physio, 27 Norfolk Street.
Lucy is a Master Pilates Instructor with extensive experience in injury prevention, rehabilitation and performance. You will be in expert hands.
Who Is It For?
- Open to complete beginners through to advanced
- All exercises can be adapted
- Specifically designed with skaters in mind
What You Need to Bring
Nothing. Mats will be provided.
Water will kindly be supplied by Lost Art.
