MASTER THE ART OF ITALIAN PASTA – WITH A LANGUAGE TWIST!
Join us for a unique hands-on pasta-making class where Italian cuisine meets language learning.
In partnership with Languages Alive, this interactive experience is led by Raffaella Palumbo, Founder and Director of Languages Alive, alongside our Eataly chef. Together, they will guide you through traditional Roman recipes while introducing useful Italian vocabulary, expressions, and cultural insights throughout the session.
You will cook two iconic Italian classics. First, you will prepare fresh pasta all'amatriciana, learning the essential techniques behind this classic Roman sauce. Then you will indulge in the beloved maritozzo, filled with cream or pistachio cream, a traditional Roman pastry enjoyed across the city.
Along the way, you will pick up practical Italian words and phrases related to cooking, ingredients, and dining culture, supported by interactive and engaging moments designed to help you learn naturally while you cook, taste, and socialise.
During the class, you will:
- Learn to prepare traditional recipes from the Lazio region
- Cook pasta all'amatriciana from scratch
- Fill classic maritozzo dessert with your choice of cream
- Follow guidance in both Italian and English
- Build useful Italian vocabulary and expressions for everyday use in the kitchen and beyond
Your experience includes a welcome glass of prosecco on arrival, with a soft drink alternative available upon request.

Important information:
- This class will be conducted in English, with Italian language interactions at a BEGINNER level.
- This class is not suitable for gluten-free guests, but it is suitable for vegetarians (please inform us in writing a few days before the class if you have dietary requirements)
- Due to the layout of our kitchens and operations, we are unable to guarantee against cross-contamination.
- This class is designed for adults unless otherwise specified. Participants from the age of 14 and under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult and pre-agreed with Eataly in writing.
- Recipes and ingredients used in this class are fixed and cannot be modified.
- If more than 8 guests are attending, some participants may be required to share equipment and workspace. Don’t worry, everyone will prepare and enjoy their own dish from scratch!
- Additional drinks, aside from the welcome drink, are not included in the ticket fee and will be charged separately.
Ticket policy:
- ·Tickets are not refundable.
- If you are unable to attend, you may:
- Send someone to attend in your place (all they need is your tickets' QR codes)
- Request to reschedule for another date within the same month, subject to availability. This request must be made at least 5 working days before your original class date, to be considered.
- La Scuola requires a minimum of 5 participants per class. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule classes due to low enrolment or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, you will be offered the option to transfer to another session or receive a full refund. You will be notified at least 24 hours in advance if this occurs.
