Overview
Briefings are a common method for communicating information between individuals and groups at work, but truly brief and effective briefings may be far less common. In the Conducting Effective Briefings course, participants will learn how to strategically prepare a briefing by exploring the most important topics, which include distilling the message into its central elements, adjusting the message to fit the audience, and discarding the rest. Brevity will be emphasized throughout the planning process.
Participants will also receive a primer on presentation and impromptu speaking skills to aid in the delivery of the briefing, which will be reinforced by several opportunities to practice briefing skills during the workshop.
