Akron’s newest concert series is kicking off with an unforgettable night of music, poetry, and purpose. The inaugural Music@AkronFCC Concert Series will open with Concert for Peace, presented by Indivisible Akron, on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at First Congregational Church of Akron (AkronFCC), 292 East Market Street, Akron, OH 44308.The evening begins at 6pm with a welcoming social hour—complete with light snacks and a cash bar—before the program lifts off at 7pm.
This inspiring event will bring together some of Northeast Ohio’s most passionate songwriters and poets, sharing original works rooted in social justice and hope. Farhad Sethna, renowned immigration lawyer and grassroots activist, will deliver the keynote address, offering a thought-provoking perspective on unity and compassion. The night will culminate in a rousing performance by Jim Ballard and The Strangs, sending audiences home inspired and energized.
Tickets: $10 online ($9 each for groups of 5+), or $15 at the door. All are welcome!
Proceeds and a freewill offering will support the future of the Music@AkronFCC Concert Series, helping bring more meaningful performances to our community.
