A place to meet our co-regulation and intimacy needs within an ongoing conscious community.
About this Event

Community Intimacy is a space to meet one another’s intimacy needs, within a group, community setting.

Our human intimacy needs include: To be seen, heard, felt, met, wanted, understood, important and recognised.

In our culture, so many of our intimacy needs are placed on and inside the idea of a romantic relationship.

Community Intimacy is a place to practice expanding our range of what intimacy means, and our skills in giving and receiving high quality connection.

This is a space where our nervous systems can drop into an experience of group holding.

Through embodied circle work and co-regulation, play, attunemnet and authentic relating practices, we will create a space for all of you to be held and witnessed.

The intention with this container is that it becomes a regular monthly offering, where a real sense of community can be built in a gentle and slow way. Rather than a one off event, where we might attend and not be able to build on connections or give and receive ongoing nourishment.

Community Intimacy aims to be a place where connections can be developed and a sense of urban conscious community can be created.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THIS EVENT:

  • Co-regulation exercises that support your sense of inner safety and regulation, within yourself and in connection with other people.

  • An embodied sharing circle space, where whatever is alive for you can be witnessed and held by the group. This is also a space where you can receive whatever you might need from the group in terms of holding, nurture, celebration or creating new relational imprints.

  • A place to experience lightness, fun and play within a group, as well as space to meet ‘heavier’ emotions.

  • The possibility to contribute to being part of, and building, an ongoing conscious community within London. If you consent, you can join a Whatsapp group, where conversation and support can continue throughout the month between meet ups. Where consistent connection and support can grow.

  • A space that responds to the needs, and what is alive, in the group, rather than sticking to any fixed agenda. This space prioritises the medicine needed in each specific moment.

WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE FROM THIS EVENT:

  • Co-regulation and nourishment of your nervous system, which is essential for our physical and emotional health.
  • A deep exploration of the many different layers of intimacy and how to create powerful connections with others.
  • An ongoing community (if you wish), where you can develop a sense of belonging and ongoing connection and support.
  • Simple tools that you can use in all of your connections and relationships to have more fulfilling and nourishing connections.

WHO IS THIS FOR:

  • Anybody of any race, gender, sexual orientation.
  • Anybody of any age (18+ currently, but will hopefully soon include families).
  • People with an interest in expanding their capacity for intimacy
  • People with a desire to be part of an ongoing conscious community in London.
  • People who potentially hold a lot in their day to day life and who are also in need of support and holding.

WHO IS THIS NOT FOR:

  • People who may be dealing with a large amount of personal trauma right now, who don’t also have other 1:1 resources that can support them.
  • People who are looking for a container to explore sexuality. This container is about meeting emotional intimacy needs.
