About this Event
If your focus disappears the moment you start working alone, this is for you.
You sit down to work…
Laptop open.
Coffee is going cold beside you.
A “quick” scroll on TikTok that turns into longer than you meant it to. Netflix hums in the background.
You keep coming back to your work… but it doesn’t quite hold.
And after a while, it starts to feel like:
Maybe this is just how your workdays go now.
I see this a lot, especially with freelancers, creatives, and remote workers.
You’re not lazy. You’re not lacking discipline.
It’s what happens when your environment keeps interrupting your attention.
So I’ve created something to support you with that.
✨ Community Co-Working Day x Werks Group
(first edition, in partnership with Werks Group)
📍 Werks Central, Brighton
🗓 Thursday 28 May
⏰ 10 am–5 pm
🎟 Free | 10 spots only
This isn’t a workshop. Not stuffy networking.
It’s a calm, shared space designed to hold your attention.
You arrive how you are, a bit scattered, tabs open, thoughts half-finished.
Then something shifts.
You stop restarting.
You stay with tasks longer.
You finish something you’ve been putting off.
Around lunchtime, you pause.
Instead of eating at your laptop (or forgetting to eat at all),
you pick up a warm fresh bagel from Bayit, ready and waiting because you pre-ordered when you booked.
You sit somewhere comfortable.
Maybe you chat with someone. Maybe you don’t.
It’s easy. Unforced.
A proper break in your day, not another rushed one.
And it lands that you’re not holding your whole workday together on your own anymore.
By the end of the day, something feels different.
Your work is complete, or at least has moved forward properly.
Your head feels clearer.
Your body feels calmer.
You leave feeling more like yourself when you work well.
If you’ve been stuck in that cycle of starting, stopping, and never quite settling…
This is your way out of it.
👉 Save your space now, once they’re gone, that’s it (I may open a few more if demand is high)
🥯 Bayit bagels (£6) pre-order when you book, so yours is ready for lunch

Meet Your Host:
Lara Parry, Founder & Community Lead, The Creative Collective Events
Hey, I’m Lara 👋
I’ve spent the last nine years working across the creative, fashion, music, and digital marketing industries, and somewhere along the way, I ended up running 170+ events, from national industry roundtables to cosy creative socials in Brighton.
I’ve done a bit of everything, including:
🎸 Running socials for a band at Glastonbury (yes, it was chaotic and iconic)
💼 Led masterclasses, socials and roundtables at BIMA
✨ Growing community-led creative events and content creation at I LIKE NETWORKING
🎤 Building spaces where people actually talk to each other, not just swap LinkedIn and leave
Now I run, a Brighton-based community for creatives, freelancers, marketers, and multi-hyphenates who want real connection without the awkward networking vibes.
No name tags stress. No “so what do you do?” interrogation.
Just friendly faces, real chats, and a space where you can show up alone and still feel totally welcome.
People have met collaborators, formed friendships, and even started their own creative communities after coming along, which honestly makes me SO proud!
If you see me at an event, come say hi, I’ll probably be by the snacks or saying “yap” to someone new.
