Community Archives – keeping community at the heart of archives and heritage
Annual Community Archives and Heritage Group conference - July 10th, University College London, 10.30am - 4pm
Community archives and heritage groups celebrate and remember the history and heritage of communities, in the community, by the community and for the community. It is this community context that makes the collections and heritage activities so meaningful. This year’s conference will explore the benefits and challenges of keeping archives at the heart of community and community at the heart of archives and heritage.
The day will include presentations by community groups and their partners, workshops on guidance and resources on community archiving available from CAHG and on managing digital collections. We will also be launching CAHG's Archive of the Month award.
A vegetarian sandwich lunch will be provided.
