*Presented by Comfort Club*Los Angeles-based indie pop/rock band Comfort Club is bringing their show to London on Friday 29 May at West Hampstead Arts Club with support from Leo Walrus & Celeste Madden!
Comfort Club: Los Angeles-based Comfort Club is an indie pop/rock band, channeling singular lyricism that takes every listener on a relatable journey through life, love, and heartbreak, forging kinship around the human experience. Sonically, the band epitomizes modern soft-rock with silky guitar and effervescent melodies, drawing comparisons to favorite artists like John Mayer, Death Cab for Cutie, and Del Water Gap.
Since May of 2024, Comfort Club has released their debut album “Fear Of Moving On” which garnered press support from indie mainstays Fashionably Early and Tongue Tied as well as earning radio play on KCRW and Sirius XMU Discovery. Comfort Club accompanied the album with a 16-date tour spanning 13 states across the United States including a sold-out final date at Mercury Lounge in New York City. 2025 brought four new singles and more tour dates across the United States including a 5-date co-headline run with Pretoria and a 5-date east coast headline run with a sold-out Boston date. 2026 has brought Comfort Club to Texas for 3 shows and the UK for 4 shows!
Leo Walrus: Leo Walrus is a singer-songwriter with pop sensibilities and an ear for melody straight from the hazy, lazy, daze of the 1960s. Influences can be seen and heard; Arthur Lee, Lou Reed, Al Green, Dean Blunt, and Angel Olsen swim in a giant eclectic pool alongside the likes of Kerouac, Corso, Nick Drake, Steve Lacy, and Harry Nilsson. Leo Walrus’ music has the ability to draw you in, often sounding familiar but unique, as any great artist should. Genre? Who knows? Folk? Jazz? Glam, Funk? It’s all in there with a large dose of pop for good measure. The world Leo Walrus inhabits is full of hope; often bittersweet, but full of hope nonetheless. It is also a world of mystery to be investigated, enjoyed, and shared. A young artist moving forward, paying quiet tribute to those that have gone before, with a truly warm voice and demeanour, you should get to know him and his music. He’d like that and will almost certainly sing you a song that you will feel he’s written just for you.
Celeste Madden: Eccentric British singer-songwriter Celeste Madden is known for her surreal style, 90s-influenced and guitar-loving sound. Her work tells a story, her story, and although her songs explore intricate emotions, she laces humour throughout, which reaffirms her self-description of 'not being a serious person at all'
