About this Event
Students will start by making a graphic composition in up to 4 colors with colored paper.
We'll review and discuss level of confidence with using color, and why it's often seen as a series of challenges. After which we'll briefly overview theory as it applies to our perception of color, aided by examples within an optimally lit environment.
Finally, students will revist making graphic composition in up to 4 colors with cut color paper.
Students are encouraged to source and bring their own various colored materials; both cloth (table cloth, napkins, tshirts..), paper (magazines, bags, wraps..) and any other specimens of flat color.
No experience necessary. Additional materials provided.
This workshop is hosted by General Store, a project by Jon Flannery and Julia Lipovsky to nurture and inspire creative living.
