About this Event

Led by Holly, Mala and Kaia, each session will bring new themes, reimaginings and questions to explore via cutting, ripping and sticking. No prior art experience needed!

Using magazines collected from local charity shops, hotel guests and neighbours, the session breathes new life into those glossy pages - not hiding the snips, transformations and selections from the Collage Café before.

Collage has a rich history infused with activism and experimentation, and has been intrinsic to the Lazy Susan's curatorial practice. Collage also features prominantly within Ember Locke's decedant design, with Holly's collages adorning the swanky stage area in the restaurant.

Each session begins with a collaborative exercise to get those creative hands and minds warmed up, before entering the hour long collaging free flow. Experimentation, playing and sharing is encouraged. Materials, scissors and glue are all provided. Digital scans are also available upon request.
