About this Event
What happens when we train leaders to think like warriors?
In law enforcement and public safety culture, the word warrior is often paired with ideas like discipline, readiness, courage, and sacrifice. But when warrior becomes a mindset, not just a situational role, it raises deeper questions about how power is exercised — and how easily force becomes normalized.
This live edition of Get Me to the Gray brings those questions to the surface.
Our guest, Patrick J. Welsh, is a former prosecutor, police executive, author, and leadership trainer with more than 40 years of experience in the criminal justice system. He is best known for advancing the concept of warrior-servant leadership — a framework that argues leaders must be capable of force while remaining grounded in humility, service, and moral restraint.
This conversation is not a promotion of that framework — it is an examination of it.
Get Me to the Gray is a space for people who want to sit with the real tension. This is a live, unscripted conversation grounded in experience, skepticism, and intellectual honesty.
If you’re interested in leadership, public safety, accountability, and the consequences of the frameworks we normalize, this conversation is for you.
*This is a ticketed event to support attendance and shared accountability. Ticket proceeds will be donated to Gang Rescue and Support Project (GRASP), a Denver-based organization focused on preventing gang involvement through mentorship, intervention, and community-led safety strategies. Their work grounds this conversation in the real-world consequences of how leadership, force, and care are applied.
