About this Event
Climbing to New Heights invites youth, families, and community members to spend a day learning, connecting, and challenging themselves through hands-on adventure. Participants will experience our upper and lower ropes courses, taking on over 800 feet of engaging challenges designed to build confidence, teamwork, and resilience. The day also includes a 160-foot zip line and a climbing wall, offering exciting opportunities for participants to try something new in a safe, supportive environment.
Beyond the physical adventure, the event weaves in creativity and learning. In partnership with Reading Ready Pittsburgh, free books will be distributed to all children attending, encouraging a love of reading and reinforcing that learning happens everywhere.. Whether participants are winding down after a climb or sharing a book together, these moments help extend the impact of the day beyond the course.
Hands-on building activities will give participants the chance to design and create their own mini zip lines or bridges, working together to solve problems and bring ideas to life. These activities promote collaboration, communication, and imagination while allowing youth and families to learn from one another.
Climbing to New Heights is designed to be welcoming and accessible, offering something for all ages and comfort levels. Some participants may be drawn to the thrill of the course, while others may prefer creative building or a quiet moment with a new book. Each experience is valued and supported.
At its core, this event is about connection—between youth and families, between learning and play, and between challenge and growth. We look forward to welcoming the community for a day filled with adventure, laughter, and meaningful experiences that inspire participants to reach new heights together.
