Panel Discussion: Women of Steel: Stories of Strength, Struggle and Solidarity
Event host, Battle of Homestead Board member, Maura Bainbridge holds a PhD in anthropology. Her academic work considered the memorialization, and more often the erasure, of labor history at sites of labor conflict in the US. She believes history is important to preserve and celebrate, allowing contemporary workers to challenge seemingly immovable power structures while offering models on how to build a more just world.
