About this Event
The outcomes of theworkshop will become part of an installation mirroring personal and collective experiences of transformation, transition and fragility.
At the beginning of the workshop, Stathis will introduce you to the clay installation ‘What We Bring, We Become’ and talk about concepts of transformation & transitionand how clay-making can express these. Then you will use clay to shape, build, transform objects inspired from everyday habits and rituals of consumerism. The outcomes of the workshop will become part of this temporary installation staying at the gallery only until the end of the exhibition.
The session lasts 2 hours and is open to all levels—no prior experience is needed. All materials are provided. Any children must be accompanied by an adult, and no child can be left unattended.
Stathis is an artist working predominately with clay, found objects, text fragments andverses. He is a member of the London Group, the Royal Society of Sculptors and performs and collaborates at the European Poetry Festival. Stathis has long experience in teaching ceramics.
