About this Event
Hello clay friends! We welcome you to our third edition of the Clay Jam. Now that the days are growing warmer and longer, we are ready to get busy with clay again!
This time, we will be “giving a pot an identity” with our wheel throwing master Nico, having pre-handmade vases, pots, beautiful vessels for you to decorate with clay. Nico is a big lover of collaboration within the studio, sharing his talents with everyone, and we’re so excited for this to be offered within Clay Jam!
You are welcome to hand build whatever you desire around your pot, or if you would like to hand-build everything yourself, Luca and Renne will be on hand to help teach the coil method for pot making. With our lovely companion Meg also on hand to support!
We will be serving something to eat also, as we want to combine two things we love to do with people, playing with clay and eating good food!!
Please pre-order a ticket (link in our bios), this is vvvv helpful for us to know how many pots to make/how much food! It really helps us out.
We will also have a mini market of 90Mil Ceramics members, if you want to purchase any ceramics and support the community of artists! A glazing station, where you can bring your previous work from a clay jam and paint it here with our homemade glazes, you are also welcome to glaze something entirely new to yourself, we will have a selection to choose from.
Location: An Der Michaelbrucke
Time: 5-8pm (until dark)
We will be outside unless it is raining, then we will be in the front room.
90Mil is wheelchair accessible, we do not have Covid precautions but if you are feeling unwell please think of others and stay home!
Pricing - price includes the workshop, dinner and firing - sliding scale 30-45€.
This is a special workshop in which Nico will be preparing wheel thrown pieces, so this has been factored into the pricing.
Glazing a piece - from 20-35 depending on size/weight.
We aim to make this as accessible as possible, if you are unable to afford, reach out to us and we can figure something out :)
