About Clara Barcelo
Born in the 1980s in the vibrant heart of Argentina Clara Barcelo was destined for creativity. The eldest of five siblings Clara's world was woven with color and texture from the very beginning. Clara's mother had a small business knitting sweaters and she often jokes that she "grew up among fabrics." In 2012 a chance request led her to design a unique sandal featuring ten different leathers. The sandals were a sensation and Clara knew she had found her niche. At the heart of her eponymous brand Clara Barcelo is Argentinian Gaucho leather widely considered among the finest in the world that is known and adored for its supple texture rugged resilience and unique ability to age beautifully over time. Her design philosophy revolves around a unique blend of artisanal craftsmanship modern aesthetics and a deep appreciation for individuality.
