Feb 28, at The Tivoli Cinema, there will be for one of the cine-concerts, hosted by Roving Picture Shows & Island Jazz. This time, Dziga Vertov’s avant-garde mockumentary Man with a Movie Camera will be shown. We’re invited to follow a man traveling through a city with a camera, capturing the dazzling rhythms of urban life.
Ryan Drew and Dan Rowswell will provide a live improvised musical accompaniment.
The main feature will be preceded by Chess Fever, a short film by Vsevolod Pudovkin about a growing obsession with chess.
