Chosen Fam presents: Suns of the Apocalypse, the album release event
In 2012 two Berkeley locals, Armando Davila and Dante Kaleo met in West Berkeley at a produce stand. While Dante sold Armando fruit, instrumental beats played in the background. A rap cypher soon followed; the rest is history. In 2022 Dante and Armando reunited to create the Hip-Hop duo, Chosen Fam. After 3 years of long nights, countless sessions and a neverending process of mixing and mastering, Chosen Fam's project, Suns of the Apocalypse, has come to fruition.
"Suns of the Apocalypse" (SOTA) expresses the current state of the world, offering a release for frustrations with the political climate. SOTA reflects discussions taking place on a sinking ship, suggesting action instead of getting lost in the despair of perilous inevitabilities.
Join Chosen Fam's debut live performance, supported by local artists: Nurse Boogz, Amani Will with 1 ft 2, and DJ Seamless. Chosen Fam merch will be available for purchase. Natural wine by Henry and Lauren locally made in Richmond will be available as well!
This is a ticketed event in a small venue so please purchase your tickets in advance. Very limited tickets will be available at the door.
