About this Event
Choral Scholars of University College Dublin, under the direction of Artistic Director Desmond Earley, are delighted to present their much-loved Christmas concert, a highlight of the festive season. This year’s programme offers a rich tapestry of music both ancient and new: from the timeless purity of plainchant and the Welsh lullaby Suo Gân to the gentle beauty of Silent Night. Audiences will also be treated to the world premiere of a new work by Irish composer Kenneth Edge.
The concerts on 2nd, 3rd, and 4th of December, will feature celebrated guest artists violinist Mia Cooper and pianist Tristan Russcher, whose performances will bring an added brilliance to the evening.
Reflecting on the upcoming event, Desmond Earley shared:
“It’s a joy to bring together such a vibrant programme — one that honours centuries-old traditions while introducing new Irish music to audiences. This concert is a celebration of light, hope, and togetherness at this most special time of year.”
