We are so happy to have Chimers back in Dublin. They'll be fresh off supporting legendary Aussie punks THE SAINTS on a North American and European tour, and will join us for one of two intimate Irish gigs before departing back down under.
Like many good bands, Chimers were born out of isolation. Not geographically, but via the pandemic. The pair formed the band in their Wollongong backyard during the initial lockdown of 2020.
Chimers combine their love of noise pop, post-punk and garage rock. A dynamic sound of discordant guitar, off-beat drum lines and brash melodic vocals. Think equal parts Mission of Burma, Wipers and all things Discord Records as direct influences.
The band has picked up fans in Henry Rollins, Fugazi’s Guy Picciotto, and Matador Records' Gerard Cosloy, who released their latest LP Through Today on his 12XU imprint.
