Join us for a special Children's and Family's Storytime Event to celebrate National Poetry Month with Leaf Town Forever by local authors and sisters Kathleen Rooney & Beth Rooney, illustrated by Betsey Bowen!
The true story of a Midwestern “town” created with leaves, sticks, and children’s imaginations, Leaf Town Forever is written entirely in haiku. At this event, Beth and Kathleen will read the book, then offer prompts to write your own haiku, as well a prompt for a postcard drawing activity to help you commemorate your own beloved places.
