About this Event

Ever wanted to see the cheddar gorges? Ever wanted to visit both the famous Glastonbury, its woods and countryside, its famous Tor and historic Wells?
Well, this is the time to do it and come on a new adventure. I am quite proud of this one as this will be a weekend of beauties, beauties and more beauties.
Travelling to the area is a bit of a hassle.
There are no stations in any of those locations so you have to take a minibus for 5-6 hours like most groups do and back on the same day BUT I am not most groups. I like my public transports so we will travel to this stunning place in about 3.5 hours for a weekend of marvels.

DAY ONE:
We will drop our bags at our hotel and we will then start our trip with a hike from Medieval Wells to the magical Glastonbury. We will start at Wells, England's smallest city, where you are welcome to visit the cathedral or the ruins. I will take you around what is to be seen in this stunning place, you will feel the romantic atmosphere of those cobalt streets, and the history through its many gorgeous corners from the cathedral to the old palace and its mote before we take a 3 hours hike through the countryside and the woods until we reach Glastonbury, the final resting place of King Arthur the legendary King. We will of course climb the Tor, once the Mystical island of Avalon where Merlin the wizard used to work his magic for the King, yes, Glastonbury believe it or not used to be an island! The climbing of the hill will be slightly demanding but the rest of the hike is pretty easy. We will visit every little corner and find some magical wanders in its medieval streets, where you will see, magic and stones of all kind are still found there. We will finish the day with a tasty diner before we go for a good night sleep in our hotel.

DAY TWO:
Cheddar gorges. Well you don't really need to be introduced to them, they are the most beautiful, largest and most famous gorges in the UK. As you arrive, you are taken in another country. Really, this place looks nothing like the UK whether it is the village or the Gorges. It reminds me of a little Switzerland. Absolutely beautiful! We will start with a climb, it is steep and I hate it; I am good at selling my trips right?! We will take our time but as you arrive on the top, you will forget about the pain as you glance at one of the best hill top views in the country. The view are simply breath-taking (and not just by the steep climb!)
We will hike around the gorges for about 4 hours before we head back to buy some tasty cheese in one of the many shops(I recommend to bring a freezer bag to carry it back to London )and ice cream if you wish. They also produce their own brandy and beer...WHAT A TREAT! This place is a marvel.
