Resilience is needed now more than ever in our commitments to equity for the youth sector. Join our 3rd annual conference and build with us.
About this Event

After a summer of anti-immigrant rallies, flags and nationalistic rhetoric, you know how important it is to be a part of increasing equity and inclusion in the youth sector… let alone wider society. This event is your ticket to making progress as we STAND FIRM AND MOBILISE SOLUTIONS.

Join us on the 28th  November for our annual conference and third instalment of 'CHANGE, NOT CAMPAIGNS.'

At the event, you will hear about the work TRIUMPH have been co-developing with the sector over the last two years:

  1. The HEAL Leadership Academy for global majority colleagues.
  2. Our work with FREA to create equity in grantmaking.
  3. A toolkit for organisations to support global majority colleagues to thrive in the sector.

As if those insights and opportunities to support weren’t enough, you will also help shape a brand new set of our unique Solution Spaces.

Guiding Questions:

  • What are the challenges faced by global majority young people, colleagues and organisations from racially marginalised communities that require addressing?
  • How do they differ from the challenges that existed as recently as 2020?

The answers to these questions is what will set us up to launch 3 brand new co-creation spaces that will begin at the conference and be carried on monthly, starting from January 2026. These are not a space to “discuss”, they are a space to create. So, the solutions co-created with colleagues will be brought into reality. We take action over here!

What to expect on the day:

Now we are spoiling you because the conference will of course open with a powerful keynote and another progressive panel discussion, made up of guests all with lived experience and / or working to drive the change we want to see. They will be breaking down the practical actions, commitments and benefits that come when we support proven solutions that are designed to create equity.

The subject of the panel discussion will be:

Global vs. Local: how is the international political and humanitarian landscape impacting and influencing our local experiences in the youth sector?

The panel discussion will give space and thought to ongoing divisions in society and how we can continue and sustain our work to tackle racism, systemic oppression and racial inequity.

This event is for:

  • Leaders of youth organisations that want to ensure their organisation plays its part in improving the sector whilst becoming more equitable and inclusive itself.
  • Youth workers, practitioners, operational team members and support staff that want to ensure their own teams and practise are equitable.
  • Funders, infrastructure organisations and local authority colleagues that want to ensure they are using their resources and influence to create equity in the sector.
