About this Event
Students will be taught a variety of hand-building techniques such as pinching, coiling and slab building, as well as being introduced to methods for surface decoration using colourful slips and simple glazes.
At the end of the course, students will have a selection of hand-made ceramics, that can be used and displayed at home.
This course is suitable for beginners and anyone looking to develop their skills with the option of working on more challenging projects with the tutors' support.

About the tutor Annie Rose:
Annie’s work ranges from sculptural to functional ware, with a focus on making beautiful objects which are delightful to use and look at. As well as ceramics, she has a background in drawing and painting, which influences her work with clay.
Annie has been working in ceramics for the last three years as an apprentice, making functional ware for restaurants. Her personal practice is focused on creating sculpture and one off objects.
