Lisa Akuah is a Berlin-based singer-songwriter whose atmospheric indie folk drifts between melancholy and delicate hope. With her warm, captivating voice and poetic lyrics, she creates soundscapes that invite stillness and reflection. After her debut album Outgrowing Nymph (2022) – a journey through personal growth inspired by nature and mythology – she now opens a new chapter.
In spring 2025, she released her second studio album “Golden Seams”, a work that artfully weaves together vulnerability and strength. The title draws inspiration from the Japanese art of Kintsugi, where cracks are repaired with gold – a metaphor for the beauty of scars and moving forward after life’s fractures. Musically, Lisa Akuah enriches her signature dreamy guitar arrangements with new, finely layered textures that make her songs shine even brighter.
Influenced by artists like Daughter and Bon Iver, she remains true to her authentic voice – sensitive, honest, and deeply moving. Critics praise her ability to translate intimacy and emotional depth into powerful live moments. With “Golden Seams”, Lisa Akuah cements her place as one of the most captivating voices in the German indie folk scene.
