About this Event
Celebrated Voices — An Evening by Mek Ah Step
Join us for an inspiring evening of creativity, connection, and purpose as we Mek Ah Step towards Ghana!
Celebrated Voices brings together powerful spoken word artists and community changemakers for a night that uplifts, empowers, and celebrates expression through poetry — hosted by Lana V Symone, and featuring special performances by Divine Justice, Sir Joshua, and Sister Ama.
About Mek Ah Step (MAS)
Mek Ah Step (MAS) is a community-focused initiative dedicated to empowering young people and communities through creativity, personal growth, and service. Operating across the UK and Africa, MAS uses poetry, mentorship, and cultural exchange as tools for healing, expression, and empowerment.
Our Objectives:
In the UK: To provide platforms for young creatives to express themselves, build confidence, and use art as a positive outlet.
In Africa: To support schools and communities through educational resources, creative workshops, and cultural exchange — fostering resilience, opportunity, and connection for young people.
Purpose of the Night
This event will support our upcoming Mek Ah Step trip to Ghana in December, where our team will visit schools in Mampong and the Central Region to deliver creative workshops, resources, and mentorship sessions.
Entry is completely free — however, donations and support on the night are warmly welcomed to help fund our Ghana mission.
All contributions will go directly towards providing materials, school visits, and creative learning resources for young people.
