About this Event
About the event
Torchlight is a co-designed digital tool that facilitates social support while young people wait for mental health treatment. Torchlight is built specifically for the waiting period, a time when young people are often left without support, clarity, or hope. At its heart, the app offers a sense of connection. Through shared stories, group-based activities, and carefully moderated spaces, young people can feel understood by others who have walked similar paths. They do not need to message strangers or disclose personal details. Instead, they engage in a safe, structured environment designed to reduce isolation and build a sense of belonging.
This event marks an important milestone in that journey — celebrating the project’s collective achievements and looking ahead to what comes next.
The session will include:
- A short walkthrough and demonstration of the Torchlight app
- Reflections from young people, clinicians, and project partners
- Opportunities for open discussion and shared learning
- Collaborative activities exploring next steps for community and service development
