Bayview Village Shopping Centre celebrates the Year of the Snake with a vibrant Lunar New Year event in partnership with the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto. This festive celebration offers a dynamic lineup of performances, interactive activities, and exclusive contests, bringing the community together to welcome the Lunar New Year in style.
YEAR OF THE SNAKE SCULPTURE
A magnificent larger-than-life pink snake installation awaits you at the east end of the Centre near Berani Jewellery Design. Post a photo on Instagram/Little Red Book follow @bvshops and be entered to win a $888 Bayview Village gift card! See below for contest rules.
CELEBRATORY PERFORMANCES
- 12:45 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. – enjoy captivating performances by Goh Ballet located under the chandelier at Centre Court. Those who stay to watch the performance will receive a special offer from Goh Ballet (while supplies last).
- 1:00 p.m. - Experience a mesmerizing Lion Dance performance in partnership with Berani Jewellery Design. This exciting dance will parade from Restaurant Lane across the Centre with its grand finale taking place in front of Berani Jewellery Design.
GOD OF FORTUNE
The God of Fortune will make a special visit during the performances. Those who meet the God of Fortune will be rewarded with a special BV Pink Envelope containing a message of good fortune for the year to come. A limited number of envelopes will also contain a special gift from Bayview Village! (limited to one per guest available while supplies last)
TRADITIONAL CALLIGRAPHY
12pm-4pm - Visit our traditional Chinese calligraphers as they write scrolls with well-wishes on red paper for guests to bring home. Located just east of Centre Court outside Jean-Paul Fortin (one per person while supplies last).
CELEBRATE WITH BV SHOPS
Select participating Bayview Village shops will celebrate Lunar New Year with special promotions gifts with purchase and window displays.
Admission to all Lunar New Year activations at Bayview Village are complimentary.
Contest Rules
No purchase necessary. Winner will receive one (1) $888 Bayview Village gift card. Enter by posting a photo with our snake sculpture on Instagram or Little Red Book tagging the post with #BVLNY and following @bvshops on the platform. Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries. This contest is open to Ontario residents. Employees of QuadReal and employees of Bayview Village tenants are not eligible to participate.
