The stunning two-time Grammy-winning mezzo-soprano J’nai Bridges joins the Catalyst Quartet and pianist Terrence Wilson for a sumptuous and unusual program. This is a marvelous opportunity to hear Bridges’ rich, opulent voice, heard in the world’s great opera houses, in a concert with friends in the intimate acoustics of the Coolidge Auditorium. Their program spotlights the singer in Dvořák’s Goin’ Home from his “New World” Symphony, in Noah Luna’s beautiful arrangement, and in the evocative, rarely heard “Sea Pictures,” by Edward Elgar. Complementing them are Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s Fantasiestücke and Libby Larsen’s Sorrow Song and Jubilee for string quartet.Pre-concert Conversation with the Artists
