Cards in Common was born out of a simple idea — that playing cards are more than a product, they're a passion shared by thousands of people across the world. We wanted to create something that brought that community together.
We're A. Haines Playing Cards — a husband and wife team from Manchester who've spent the last three years creating playing cards loved by collectors and performers worldwide. After multiple successful Kickstarter campaigns and a growing community of card enthusiasts, we felt it was time to do something bigger, and celebrate the community we all belong to.
That's why we created Cards in Common.
What is Cards in Common?
A full day convention dedicated to magic, cardistry, and the playing card community.
Taking place at the Holiday Inn Manchester City Centre (5mins from tram, bus, train & parking options) on Saturday 16th May 2026, this is a day to learn, connect, discover, be inspired and have fun.

Why Manchester?
It's our home. And we think it's about time the North had its own dedicated playing card event.
Tickets are limited — this is an intimate event by design - we want to keep everything chilled and easier to connect with others.
We want everyone who attends to have a genuine experience, meet the speakers, explore the stalls, and leave feeling like part of something.
