Have you ever dreamed of sailing a boat you built yourself? Now’s your chance! Join us at the Longview Community Center for an epic Cardboard Boat Race. Build your boat using only cardboard and duct tape, then launch it and race for glory. Will you sail to victory or make a splash? There’s only one way to find out!*Registration is 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.
*Race is 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
*$12 per person
*Ages 8 & Up
- Participants will make their boats at home and bring them to the event. Supplies allowed: Cardboard, Duct Tape. Supplies NOT allowed: Staples, Glue, Styrofoam, and Wood
- Teams of 1-4 people. One participant must ride their boat during the race. Rider must wear a Lifejacket and Helmet. LVCC has lifejackets. Rider must bring their own helmet
-Prizes for farthest distance, fastest boat, best floater, and best sinker
